Eccome® is a company specialising in the production of visual systems and tools to foster interpersonal communication, autonomy and social inclusion.

The design of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) favours a participatory approach and the involvement of competent individuals. Prototypes are tested by experienced AAC therapists prior to commercialisation to assess usability and effectiveness.

The visual design lab, the beating heart of the company, also provides design and prototyping services to external parties (rehabilitation centres and specialised companies) both under a patentable confidentiality regime and in a collaborative context, which can also be extended to subsequent phases.

The small-scale, on-site, short-series production not only supports the workshop economically and reduces waste, but also allows, on the basis of post-sales feedback, the products marketed to be constantly and rapidly improved.

The willingness of users to share feedback, solutions and critical issues, offers a fundamental contribution to the development of project research on useful methods and tools to foster communicative exchange, Eccome’s mission.

The materials used in the production of the aids are supplied by national companies able to guarantee qualified technical support regarding the selection of raw materials, which are recyclable and comply with the UNI EN71 standard.

The synergy with artisan companies of excellence to which the processes requiring specialised machinery are entrusted, completes Eccome’s virtuous model: the capital of expertise of these partners is a precious resource that we seek to safeguard.
